Ever wanted to make your garage or basement storage look more organized? Here is a great way to accomplish the tidy finished look at a very low price with great directions including measurements below.
It only took a couple hours and about $60 in wood!
I can't take credit for any of this, it was my husband's idea. He came up with his own measurements and built it from scratch. It was made to fit into the corner of our garage so it was not in the way of our vehicles.
Feel free to leave any questions in the comments section at the bottom of this page and I will get back to you shortly! :) Happy Crafting!!

Gloves (optional)
Directions
STEP 1
To make the shelf frame, take 2 of the long 2 x 4 x 80 pieces and place the 2 inch sides on the ground parallel to one another. Place the 2 x 4 x 13 pieces in between with the 2 in side on the ground. Secure with 2 screws on each side where the arrows are shown in the picture below.
Note: Middle pieces are optional for additional shelf support.
STEP 2
Repeat step one 3 more times (Total of 4 frames)
STEP 3
Place the 80 x 16 x 1/3 piece on top of the shelf frame (it should match up perfectly) Use wood clamps to hold the top piece onto the frame while you are securing with screws. The yellow dots indicate where we inserted the screws :)
STEP 5
From the top of the shelf to the top of the next shelf you want 20 inches. From the bottom shelf to the floor, 20 inches also. That should fit perfectly!

STEP 6
Place two of the 2 x 4 x 80 inch pieces along the sides and line up with the shelf edges. The 4 inch sides should be facing the shelves and the ceiling.
---
Hold together with the wood clamps after you have measured and made sure your bins or boxes will fit correctly, or adjust as needed.
---
Secure with 2 screws on each shelf to hold that front piece onto the shelves. Once you are done, flip it over and do the same thing on the other side! Make sure all the pieces are lined up and straight before you screw into them.

Enjoy the transformation! What a great and organized way to display your storage bins/items that are put away in the garage or the basement.

Thank you for the instructions. I made one yesterday and it was so easy. I adjusted the depth to a total of 13" because my garage is a single. Excellent tutorial.
