Have you been wanting to learn how to make a beautiful chevron crochet stitch? I created a gorgeous one as I designed my free crochet bible case pattern. Once you understand the stitch you could make it double or triple that length and make it into a blanket, or whatever you decide to do!
Materials:
Crochet Hook (H hook used here)
Worsted Weight Yarn
Abbreviation Guide:
Worsted Weight Yarn
Abbreviation Guide:
DC3Tog
= Double Crochet 3 Together
How to dc3tog:
1. Yarn over and insert hook into next stitch
2. Yarn over Pull through (3 loops on hook)
3. Insert hook into next st yarn over and pull through (4 loops on
hook)
4. Insert hook into next st yarn over and pull through (5 loops on
hook)
5. Yarn over and pull through 4 loops (2 loops left on hook)
6. Yarn over and pull through 2 remaining
loops.
The Chevron Stitch
Here is the pattern you will be repeating to get the chevron look. I created this so if you use it in a pattern you create, please link back to this post and do not use my photo or recreate using my idea. Thank you!
Note: Be sure all of the stitches line up
and you are working your dc increase (3dc) into the middle stitch of the
previous round increase.
*dc3tog, dc in
next 2 sts, 3dc in next st, dc in next 2* Repeat to end.
