Free Crochet Pattern: Bible Cover or Case

This post may or may not include affiliate links. Click here for disclosure policy.

How adorable is this free chevron crochet bible cover pattern? I designed the chevron stitching to fit the needs of this project, and I also designed a crochet stitch to create a straight edge for the chevron design. This is perfect for Mother's Day, Easter, Christmas, Teacher gifts, Valentine's Day, Birthdays, or just because! :) Enjoy and share this link or pin this post if you like it! You could always make it in some manly colors for Father's Day also!

How to read this pattern: This pattern is worked in rows, turning your work after each row.
Note: You need to work your color chunks in sets of 2 rows (or even #) in order to avoid unattractive stitching showing on the right side.
*I highly suggest watching my YouTube videos on the chevron stitch & making the straight edge before completing this project* www.youtube.com/user/katiescrochetgoodies

Instructions:
With Teal
RD 1: Ch 76, dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 dc in next st
*dc3tog, dc in next 2 sts, 3dc in next, dc in next 2 sts* Repeat to end.
NOTE: After your last dc decrease (dc3og) you will just do one dc in each stitch until you reach the end- Meaning you will need to skip and substitute your last increase stitch (3dc) with just one dc so that the end stays straight.
Rd 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in the same st, dc in the next 6 sts
*dc3tog in the next, dc in next 2 sts, 3dc n next st, dc in next 2* Repeat to end. You should have one st left at end, dc in that st.

Once you have finished this you will lay the piece flat and make sure the right side is showing and wrap around where you want the cover to go. Make sure the inside flaps are even for the front and back covers.

Then you will stitch together using a slip stitch as shown in the picture below. Do this on all 4 ends.

Reindeer Cookies!

These adorable cookies are super easy to make and great for any holiday get together or party!! I made them for the little 1st graders while I was student teaching. I had such a great time making these. They are super easy and they look so cute!

All I did was:
1. Make sugar cookies/Shaped like triangles

2. Press the chocolate covered pretzels onto the cookie while still warm (don't push too hard or it breaks!)

3. Push M&M's onto the cookie for eyes

4. Put some chocolate frosting on the cookie to use to hold the red peanut butter M&M nose on :)

Here is an adorable and delicious treat for the holidays. I made these Santa hat pretzels a couple years back with a good friend of mine. These were very simple to do and they are SO cute! I hope you try these out and if you do please send me a picture of your result! :)

Reindeer Beer Christmas Gift

This is an adorable Christmas gift idea for anyone. I made a 6 pack of beer one for a gift a few years back, and also made them with the Coca-Cola that comes in the glass bottles for a bunch of underage friends and family!

Homemade Signs!

These are so cute and are such a great gift idea for anyone! I love that you can order and customize these. I have multiple homemade signs that I have from a couple different people who make them. I will share their links with you just in case you are interested in purchasing from them. Otherwise, enjoy the inspiration and give it a go yourself! :)

This one is made from wood pallets, and was made by A Vintage Home. I love this one so much because it adds a pop of color to my living room which was all brown and boring before. This is a huge piece but she can make in any size!

This one I got for our 2nd wedding anniversary and hung up above our bed. I love the way this looks! The font, the colors, and everything! LOVE IT!

This one I got for my front door to keep all of the solicitors from disturbing us multiple times a week. It has made a big difference as you can see. When I went outside to get a picture of the sign I saw some business cards the shoved in my security door. The humor of it is awesome also. The sign reads:

NO Soliciting

We are too broke to buy anything,
we know who we are voting for,
we have found Jesus.
Seriously,
unless you are selling thin mints
DO NOT DISTURB!
