Have you ever wondered how to make these adorable Pom Poms out of yarn?! You can add these to the tops of hats, use them for crafts, or to the ends of earflaps for the hats.
If you want to make the pom pom bigger, you can wrap around something that is bigger in distance around than your hand as shown in this tutorial!
You will start by wrapping yarn around your four fingers as shown in the picture. Make sure you leave a long tail when you start off.
After you have it as thick as you are wanting, carefully take it off of your hand keeping it in the same shape.
Now take a piece of yarn and wrap around the center of the wrap you made as shown and tie a very tight knot. (Make sure it is longer than needed so you can use the tail to attach to hat)
Do a couple knots so it is secure.
Now, you are going to start on one side and clip the loops all the way around so they are free standing pieces of yarn coming out of the ball.
Now you have an adorable little Pom Pom which you can attach to the hat.
Here's a hat that I made with the pom pom on the top!
